On 01.11.2017 during Vigilance Awareness Week being observed from 30th October 2017 to 4th November, 2017, Dr. T M Bhasin, Vigilance Commissioner, Central Vigilance Commission addressed the top executives of the Bank at Head Office of Punjab National Bank, Bhikaiji Cama Place, New Delhi.
He stressed on the need of making a comprehensive code of conduct by adopting standard operating procedures for eradication of corruption. He opined that standardized operations and defining time limits for completion of work, will result in increase in operational efficiencies leading to economic growth of the nation.
Dr Bhasin also distributed certificates and prizes to the winners of Essay Writing Competition held on this occasion. The subject of the competition was “My Vision – Corruption Free India”.
The programme was chaired by Shri Sunil Mehta, Managing Director & CEO. Shri K V Brahmaji Rao and Shri Sanjiv Sharan Executive Director, Punjab National Bank welcomed the Chief Guest.
Shri Satish K Nagpal, Chief Vigilance Officer briefed the gathering about different activities undertaken during Vigilance Awareness Week at Head Office as well as in the field.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. R S Sangapure, Executive Director.
