TATA GROUP REPLACES STANDARD CHARTERED AS TITLE SPONSOR OF MUMBAI MARATHON
MUMBAI: The Tata Group is the new title sponsor of Mumbai Marathon ,replacing Standard Chartered Bank which has been the event’s main underwriter for more than a decade.The Mumbai Marathon is one of the largest and richest races in Asia.
The Tata Group is trying to boost its presence in sporting events where its peers like Reliance Industries has been shelling out big bucks.
In 2017, the Mumbai Marathon prize money of $386,667 was one of the highest awards in marathon globally.
