Regional Managers’ Conference organised by The Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) at Corporate Office,

New Delhi:The Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) organized Regional Managers’ Conference at Corporate Office, New Delhi on 16-17th September, 2013. The Conference was attended by 17 Regional Managers,  Functional Directors and Senior Executives of Corporate Office.  Besides Dinesh Rai, Chairman, WDRA and Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, Chairman, CWC addressed the Regional Managers.

Sudhir Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Government of India reviewed the performance of CWC, addressed the participants  and gave away meritorious  Performance Awards for the year 2012-13 to the best performing Regions. B.B. Pattanaik, MD, CWC highlighted the performance of the Corporation during 2012-13.

Addressing the Executives, the Secretary (Food & P.D.) stressed upon the need for diversification into new areas of business so as to reduce dependence on FCI, innovation in warehousing and logistic areas and mechanisation of handling operations. The Secretary (Food & P.D.) lauded for CWC’s consistent growth and achieving highest ever capacity utilisation of 93% and record turn-over of Rs.1406.70 crore during 2012-13.
