LOHANI TO BE NAMED AS CHAIRMAN RAILWAY BOARD

Ashwani Lohani, the current Air India Chairman & Managing Director will replace A K Mital as the new Chairman of the Railway Board. According to a release by the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Government of India, the Committee has approved the following- ‘Accepted the request of Shri AK Mital to relieve him from the post of Chairman, Railway Board’ and ‘Appointment of Shri Ashwani Lohani, IRSME (80), CMD, Air India, as Chairman, Railway Board vice Shri AK Mital.’ “Necessary communication in this regard has been sent to the Ministry of Railways,” the committee said.
