Honour for Shri A.K. Singhal, Director (Finance), NTPC

Shri A.K. Singhal, Director (Finance) NTPC has been bestowed CFO 100 Roll of Honour for the year 2011-12. This is the second consecutive year that this recognition has been given to him for his ‘Winning Edge’ in Corporate Governance & Financial Control at a function held in Mumbai yesterday. A Chartered Accountant, with rich experience of 36 years of Corporate Finance Management, Shri Singhal formulates financial strategies and plans for Maharatna NTPC to enable the company achieve its Vision.

As CFO of NTPC he is responsible for the entire gamut of Financial Management of the Organization including financial resource mobilization from domestic & global sources, optimum utilization of funds, undertaking budgetary controls and taking investment decisions. He anchored in Company’s efforts backward-forward integration and acquisition activities in line with Corporate Plan of the Company.Driven by the passion for excellence and imbued with strong work ethics, Shri Singhal believes integrity, honesty and humility as the only policy for enduring business success.

Under his able guidance and leadership, NTPC has won many awards & accolades for excellence in Finalcial Reporting and Corporate Governance. Shri Singhal has been recognized as Best CFO at various forums including ICAI, CNBC TV18 and CFO institute of 9dot9 media.
