GOVERNMENT LIKELY TO SUSPEND A SENIOR LEVEL INDIAN FOREIGN SERVICE OFFICER

Government has decided to suspend Chintapally Rajasekhar a senior level Indian Foreign Services.The 1990-batch IFS officer has been sacked after an internal inquiry found serious “procedural lapses” against him. Chintapally Rajasekhar was presently holding the charge at Ministry of External Affairs HQ as Joint Secretary-West Africa.

He  had been Director General of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Prior to his ICCR DG assignment, Rajasekhar worked as Indian Ambassador of Republic of Cuba, Dominican Republic and Haiti. The IFS officer also served as counsellor in London, Seoul and Port of Spain too
