Labour Minister Shri Gopal Rai released an amount of Rs. 5 Crores for education of children of registered construction workers
- Till date an amount of approx. Rs. 42 Crore has been released
- Benefited more than 83,541 children
Delhi Labour Minister Shri Gopal Rai released an amount of Rs. 5 Crore today from Delhi Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Cess funds for education of wards/children of registered construction workers studying in various schools of Govt. of Delhi. Shri Rai said that the Govt. is not only serious but keen to provide and extend benefits of various welfare schemes of the Delhi Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board to construction workers financial assistance being one of the flagship welfare Schemes.
An amount of Rs. 15 Crore was released on 12.07.15 in a function held at Chattarshal Stadium towards financial assistance for the financial years 2013-2014 & 2014-2015. Further an amount of Rs 5 Crores is released towards financial assistance for financial year 2014-2015. Under the said scheme, till date an amount of apporox. Rs. 42 Crore has been released which has benefited more than 83,541 children/wards of construction workers studying in various Govt. Schools.
