CAR ROBBERS ARRESTED WHO ROBBED HONDA CITY CAR FROM A STUDENT

Car robbers who robbed Honda City car from a Student and a son of an Army Officer from Dwarka area, arrested.

 Robbed car and other three robbed and stolen vehicles recovered. Firearms i.e. Two pistols used in crime with cartridges also recovered.

Two cases of car robberies, one case of Scooty robbery and three motorcycles thefts and five cases of phone snatchings

 

The South West District police have busted a gang of car and motor cycle robbers who are resident of District South Dinajpur and Malda, West Bengal and were staying in rented accommodation in Delhi for the last several years.  They committed a series of crime in Dwarka Area during the last 2/3 months.  With their arrest, two pistols with live cartridges which were used in commission of crime, one robbed Honda City Car, three robbed/stolen motor cycles and other implements of committing auto thefts have been recovered so far.  The other car i.e. Swift Dezire which they robbed from the area of Dwarka Sector 23 a month ago has been sold in UP which will be recovered soon.

INCIDENT:

An incident of Honda City car robbery was reported to the police by the Victim (Karan Pratap Singh resident of Dwarka),  a 3rd year Journalism student,  from Sector 10 Dwarka on 26.05.17 around 11.15 PM.  He reported that he had come to dine at a Restaurant in Sector 10 Dwarka Metro Station and had parked his Honda City Car No. HR 26 VA 3731 outside the Restaurant.  Around 11 PM he finished his dinner and sat in his Honda City car.   Three armed assailants immediately swung inside the car and took hold of him at gun point and asked him to move out from the car without raising an alarm.  He moved accordingly and they robbed his car ran towards a deserted road. A case was registered at PS Dwarka(South) vide FIR No. 239 dated 27.5.17 u/s 392/397/34 IPC and investigation taken up.

TEAM & INVESTIGATION:

Immediately on receipt of the call, the local police and teams of Operations Cell,South West District rushed to the spot and inspected the scene of crime and examined the victim.  The crime team was also summoned at the spot.  The team consisting of SI s Naveen, Arvind, Anand, Ghanshyam, Nanag Ram, Birender Singh Yadav,  ASIs Mahender, Jaivir, Mukesh, Bijender, Hans Kumar, Dharambir, Rajender, Rajesh, HCs Raj Kumar, Brij Lal,  Samay Singh Consts Ashwini, Praveen, Vipin,Chand, Satyawan, Sudhir, Ashok, Shailender, led by Trainee IPS Akanksha Yadav, under the supervision of Rajender Singh, ACP/Ops/SW and Sh. S.K. Meena, ACP Dwarka,  inspected the scene of crime.  The inspection of crime was carried out even at isolated stretch falling at a distance of about 100 mts away from the actual scene of crime.  The team on inspection found an abandoned and accidental Motor cycle with registration No. OD-22D 8882 lying on roadside there.  The motorcycle was also found to be damaged from the front side and some traces of flakes were found on the headlight of motor cycle which appeared to be matching with the colour of robbed car.   The scene of crime has suggested that the motorcycle might have met with an accident with the robbed car and Rider of motor cycle might have received some injuries and shifted to some hospital. Calls of accident received at the given time were checked .  The scrutiny of calls led the police party to DDU hospital where one person with the name of Sajjid was found to be admitted in injured condition with road accident history.

The interrogation of injured revealed that the person who came to DDU hospital with injuries was one of the associates of the car robbers.  The detail of his other associates was collected from him but by that time his associates had disappeared from his known hideouts and addresses. His arrest was effected later in the night and he was taken on police custody remand and raids in Delhi, Gurgaon and UP was conducted in order to arrest other three car robbers and a team of operation cell finally held them from Gaziabad, UP and later arrested in the case.  On the interrogation of all the arrested accused persons robbed Honda City car and other three robbed and stolen motorcycles were further recovered and implements used in car/motor cycles thefts have also been recovered.

INTERROGATION:

The interrogation of the arrested persons have revealed that they had migrated from West Bengal and stayed in Delhi in village Pochanpur in rented premises. They had not been arrested earlier.  They did not have any proper means of livelihood and resorted to crime to earn money.  They were doing petty work like car cleaning, mechanic work and driving.  They had come in contact with one Safedi, a resident of Najafgarh and procured two Pistol in Rs. 10,000/- from a village in UP and used these weapons in robbing cars and motorcycles. During the last fortnight time they committed several incidents of thefts of motor cycles and two car robberies and one Scooty robbery and got a disposal end at a local Kabari, who is presently absconding.  They had made their hideouts in Palam vihar and KarterPuri area and parked all these stolen and robbed vehicles under a pit or drain in Dwarka area till the time those are disposed off. By using stolen motor cycles they committed steet crime of Bag, cash and phone snatchings. They had no previous criminal history and it was very difficult to reach to them.  Scientific investigation and swift manhaunt carried out in three States brought all these criminals to police dragnet.  They will be taken on police remand and more recoveries and arrests are likely.
