‘Campaigning or horse trading’: Derek’s dig at PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claim on Monday that 40 MLAs of the Trinamool Congress were in touch with him and will desert their party once the BJP wins the general elections, has drawn a stinging response from Bengal’s ruling party which said it would lodge a complaint with the Election Commission.

TMC’s parliamentary leader in the Rajya Sabha, Derek O’Brien rubbished Modi’s claim and said not a single MLA will jump ship and asked if the PM was campaigning for an election or horse trading.

“Expiry Babu PM. Nobody will go with you, not even 1 councilor. Are you election campaigning or horse trading, your expiry date is near. Today, we are complaining to EC. Charging you with horse trading,” ANI quoted O’Brien as saying.
