 Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru hanged today in a secret operation in Tihar Jail and buried inside the jail premises itself.

Covict behind parliament attack Afzal Guru was hanged today around 8 am in a secret operation at tihar jail and buried inside the jail itself after the execution.

5 heavily-armed gunmen attacked the Parliament complex and opened indiscriminate fire, killing nine persons on December 13, 2001.

The mercy plea of Afzal Guru, who was sentenced to death in 2002 by a special court and later upheld by the Supreme Court in 2005, was rejected by President Pranab Mukherjee few days back sources reveal that the president rejected his mercy on Feb 3,2013.
