With the arrest of two robbers namely Sonu Kumar (25 years) and Kundan (19 years) r/o Gadda Jhuggi, Suraj Park, Sector-19, Rohini, Delhi have been arrested by the staff of Police Station Shalimar Bagh, North West District and have worked out five cases of Robbery and Snatching pertaining to police station Shalimar Bagh, North West District, Delhi.

 

INCIDENT/BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE:

On 10.08.2016 at 09.20 AM, a PCR call regarding two persons caught red handed by the traffic staff at Shalimar Bagh Rly Station, Near Max Hospital who had committed robbery, was received in police station Shalimar Bagh. SI Pankaj & Ct. Ajay reached the spot and met complainant Sandeep Kumar r/o Rana Park, Siraspur, Samaipur, Delhi and HC Pranay of Traffic Unit.  The complainant and the traffic police Head Constable had detained two persons namely Sonu Kumar (25 years) r/o Jhuggi Badli Village, Delhi and Kundan (19 years) r/o Gadda Jhuggi, Suraj Park, Sector-19, Rohini, Delhi along with looted mobile phone and one knife.  Complainant Sandeep Kumar reported that he is a trainee in Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh and on 10.08.2016 at about 9 AM, while he was going to Max Hospital, three persons suddenly surrounded him near the railway line.  One of them pointed a knife on his neck and the second one started beating him whereas the third one forcefully picked out his mobile phone from his pocket.  The three were fleeing from the spot when the complainant raised alarm.  HC Pranay of Traffic Unit with Const Sandeep and DHG Baljeet Singh were conducting checking nearby.  They heard the alarm raised by the complainant and immediately reacted.  The traffic staff displayed exemplary courage and sincerity.  They chased the culprits and managed to catch hold of two accused redhanded.  The traffic staff recovered the looted mobile phone and one knife from them. In the melee the third person managed to escape from the spot.  The identity of the person from whom the looted mobile phone was recovered was revealed as Kundan  and from whom the knife was recovered was revealed as Sonu Kumar .  A case vide FIR No.532/16 u/s 394/397/411/34 IPC was registered at PS Shalimar Bagh and taken up for investigation.
