4113 applicants registered, 2439 learning licenses issued to E-rickshaws
- Transport Department starts process for plying of e-rickshaws in Delhi in 13 Transport authorities of the capital
Delhi Government has started the process for ensuring the plying of e-rickshaws in Delhi by initiating licensing and registration process through facilitation camps. A total of 4113 applicants have been registered and 2439 learning licenses have been issued till today in the facilitation camps of E-rickshaws. This was informed by Delhi Transport Minister Shri Gopal Rai here today.
Shri Rai said that the Transport Department has organised special facilitation camps for issuing learners licences, PSV (Public Service Vehicle) badges and registration of E-rickshaws at the 13 Transport Authorities namely Mall Road, IP Depot, Sheikh Sarai, Wazirpur, Mayur Vihar, Surajmal Vihar, Raja Garden, Rohini, Janakpuri, Palam, Vasant Vihar, Loni and AR Unit Burari.
These facilitation camps have been started from yesterday and will continue up to 28th of the month between the time schedule of 10 AM to 4 PM.
In these camps, all the interested E-rickshaw owners and drivers can contact their respective Motor Licensing offices, and can apply for learners licences and PSV Badge respectively. In case of any query, E-rickshaw drivers/owners can also contact the helpline number 011-42400400.
